Introducing the ultimate in central heating controls, a system that gives you total control over your central heating bills be it your home, school or office. EnPer is a wireless retrofit system that allows you to set different temperatures in each room allowing personalised heating periods for each individual room. This system can be controlled or changed using a simple text message, your smartphone or your PC. It can be remotely checked at any time using a text message and the system will respond via text message and give you an up to date reading from the room you wish to know about.
How does it work?
A wireless motorised valve head is fitted on each radiator, replacing an existing valve. Each radiator has an individual valve i.e. radiator in the hall, one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom, etc. The EnPer heads all report back to a central control unit (CCU) which checks at regular intervals on the status of each valve i.e. each room. If a room requires heat based on its temperature and time settings the request is noted by the CCU and it then proceeds to fire the boiler. Only the room, which requires heat, will receive heat. Once the room is satisfied it will then shut off the boiler providing no other room requires heat. The system is constantly monitored 24/7. No more wasting heat by heating up rooms that don’t require it.
Boiler Control Unit
Your boiler is fired automatically based on your heating programmes and demands. This is done by replacing your existing timeclock with a wireless remote switch that takes care of your boilers controls. This unit communicates with the CCU which gets its commands from the wireless heads-all fully automated.

These can be changed by you at any time and are totally flexible allowing you a number of heating periods each day, different temperatures, etc. The system can be checked and changed using your mobile phone, smartphone or iPhone.
What are the savings?
In the domestic application savings of between 35% and 50% are achievable. Simply by heating up the rooms which only require it and not wasting oil heating up the rooms which don’t require heat you can make huge savings. Most heating systems in houses over 5 years old do not have proper heating controls. Most homes have a system whereby once the heating is turned on all the radiators plus the cylinder get heat regardless whether they require heat or not. There is no control over the amount of heat entering a room which is hugely inefficient. Some homes have TRV's fitted. These are effective in roughly controlling the amount of heat entering a radiator, but cannot request heat if required in the room, they must wait until the boiler is switched on. The problem with TRV's is you must manually turn them off in the summer if you do not want any heat in the room when your boiler fires to heat your hot water cylinder, and you must remember to switch them back on again. They can also become seized and ineffective if not checked and opened regularly.
The EnPer system qualifies for the SEAI grant worth €400. The EnPer system controls your rooms individually and also your hot water cylinder, which means it qualifies for the SEAI grant and meets all its guidelines.
